There was a time a few years back when most consumers were not interested in buying their tires online. However everyone is feeling the financial pinch of 2008 and are looking for ways to save money on their cars. Many have found that you can find great discount tires online if you buy tires online from reputable retailers.
In the past, many people would by from their local tire retailers such as, Big O Tires, Sears or Walmart to choose tires and wheels from what was in stock. Even though 60% would do their tire research online, according to Jeff Zupanic of J.D. Why are people so afraid to buy tires online? I’m sure there are plenty of reasons why. Ranging from fear of installing tires them self to not having another human being in front of them helping with each step. The fact is that its actually much easier online. I just want to take a few moments and help explain why it is indeed better.
Let’s start off by throwing out the idea that if you purchase tires over the internet that you’ll have to install them yourself. What actually happens is that the website you buy your tires from will ask for your zip code. They will then list all of the tire stores around your area that they will ship your tires to.
